About the Role

We’re seeking a Principal Architect (Infrastructure) to design and scale our next-generation hybrid compute platform—combining traditional hosting, private cloud, and GPU-accelerated systems into one intelligent stack. You’ll own the architecture that keeps mission-critical workloads fast, secure, and AI-ready.

This is not a standard infrastructure role. You will design, deploy, and operate systems that span virtualized servers, containerized applications, and GPU-powered clusters. You will lead the engineering foundation of our managed hosting business — ensuring it’s ready for the AI-first era while maintaining uncompromising reliability for institutional clients.

If you are someone who understands both legacy systems and future compute architectures, who can make a Windows Server and a GPU cluster coexist gracefully — welcome onboard.

What You’ll Own

You will have end-to-end ownership of our infrastructure stack from bare metal to cloud orchestration and full responsibility for performance, security, and uptime across deployments.

  • Architect and Scale Hybrid Infrastructure: Design and operate environments that blend traditional x86 servers, virtualized workloads, and GPU-based clusters for AI, analytics, and rendering pipelines.

  • Manage Compute Across Generations: Build systems that host classic enterprise stacks (Windows, IIS, SQL Server) alongside containerized microservices and GPU-accelerated workloads (CUDA, TensorRT, PyTorch, ONNX).

  • Build a Unified Control Plane: Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD frameworks.

  • Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement defense-in-depth security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, DDoS mitigation, WAF, and TLS 1.3) aligned with ISO 27001, MeitY, and CERT-In requirements.

  • Design High-Availability & DR Architectures: Deploy resilient data protection, backup, and DR solutions (Commvault, Veeam, or similar) with well-defined RPO/RTO metrics.

  • Optimize Performance at Scale: Tune networking (1–10 Gbps), storage (NVMe, Ceph, S3), and compute workloads to maximize throughput and reduce latency for both CPU and GPU environments.

  • Modernize Legacy Systems: Lead migrations from traditional hosted architectures to modern, automated platforms with minimal downtime and measurable performance improvements.

  • Support AI & Data Workloads: Enable internal and external teams to run GPU workloads efficiently through container orchestration, resource scheduling, and performance monitoring.

Who You Are

You’re an engineer who thrives on ownership — someone equally comfortable configuring a Windows cluster, flashing a GPU node, or writing Terraform for multi-region failover.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering roles.

  • Expertise in managing Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL) and Windows Server environments.

  • Experience architecting and operating hybrid compute infrastructure — virtual machines, bare metal, and GPU clusters.

  • Strong command of virtualization (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration automation (Terraform, Ansible).

  • Deep understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, TLS/SSL, and access controls.

  • Proven record of maintaining high availability (99.9%+) and secure multi-tenant systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):

  • Hands-on experience with NVIDIA GPU environments (A100, H100, RTX, or Jetson).

  • Familiarity with CUDA, NCCL, or Slurm-based GPU workload scheduling.

  • Knowledge of object storage (MinIO, Ceph) and parallel file systems (Lustre, BeeGFS).

  • Experience integrating AI/ML pipelines or inference workloads in production.

  • Exposure to ISO 27001/SOC 2 compliance, MeitY empanelment, or CERT-In frameworks.

  • Past experience leading infrastructure modernization or hybrid cloud initiatives.

The Opportunity

We’re at the intersection of traditional hosting and intelligent computing. You’ll design the backbone for a new generation of secure, AI-ready data infrastructure trusted by enterprises and institutions.

  • Extreme Ownership: You will own the architecture, uptime, and evolution of our entire compute ecosystem.

  • Hybrid Impact: Shape the bridge between legacy reliability and modern performance — building systems that can run everything from transactional web apps to GPU-driven inference.

  • Elite Team: Work with engineers who treat infrastructure as craft, not maintenance. Quality, simplicity, and security matter above all.

  • Meaningful Stake: Competitive compensation, autonomy, and access to our ESOP program for core contributors.

To Apply

Send the following to careers@vusictechnologies.com:

  1. Your resume or LinkedIn profile.

  2. Links to your GitHub, portfolio, or documentation that reflects your technical depth.

Candidates progressing in the process will complete a short technical discussion focused on systems design and problem-solving — not boilerplate questions. We care about how you think and what you’ve built.
